The International Anti-Corruption Observer Forum was held in Macau
The 68th UN General Assembly president presented appointment letters and licenses to the first group of International Anti-Corruption Observers


   In the afternoon of February 2nd, the International Anti-Corruption Forum (Macau) and the "Anti-Corruption Warning Recorded" Premiere were held at the Macau Tower. The 68th UN General Assembly President Mr. John William Ashe, the Legislative Council of Macau Special Administrative Region Mr. Gao Tianci and Mr. Zheng Anting, the Twelfth National People's Congress Election Committee Mr. Wu Lixun, the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Central Publication Bureau Mr. Zhang Fan, the Editor of "Anti-Corruption Warning Record", the President of Home and Abroad News Press Mrs. Wei Yan attended the forum and delivered keynote speeches. More than 200 guests, officials, business elites and media reporters from Beijing and Macau attended the event.
   The international community believes that today’s China has two eye-attracting things happening now: the first is to deepen the reformation; the second is to fight against corruption. Some developed countries, political parties and politicians also attached great attentions to the Chinese anti-corruption actions. The guests of the conference made consensus that China has made great achievements in strengthening international cooperation in anti-corruption in 2014; it is dedicated to be the best gift to the International Anti-Corruption Day. From the media statistics, Chinese President Xi Jinping publicly talked about international anti-corruption cooperation several times in last November; as a result, Home and Abroad News Press International Anti-Corruption Observers were created in this global trend.
   The President of Home and Abroad News Press Mrs. Wei Yan said in her speech that in the Western society, the media supervision is known as the fourth authority power after the legislative, judicial, and administrative authority powers. Through media supervision, government decision-making and justice can be easily promoted and monitored. For a modern democratic country, the Anti-Corruption Observers are an important component in fighting against corruption. It can develop a democratic awareness and consciousness of citizens’ political participation; more importantly, it helps to enhance the political system's ability to integrate and effectively prevent manipulation of government power as well as the problems of corruption.
   The combination of media supervision and observers’ participation is not only the scientific solution to solve governance corruption, but also it is a proven successful selection to the China's political democratization process.
   The 68th UN General Assembly President Mr. John William Ashe spoke at the forum. He said that the experience and achievements of Chinese anti-corruption actions were truly impressive. When we read the newspapers, you could see corruption exist everywhere, it destroyed people's trust in government officials, and it also damaged the integrity image of the elected officials by people. Corruption will create a corrosive impact on the world’s community, and anti-corruption is a new understanding about the social values. Only integrity will bring sustainable development and create a good political environment. I hope that today's forum can help people have a better understanding about anti-corruption, so that we can work together to achieve global sustainable development.
   The Editorial Director of “International Anti-Corruption Observation”, the Chief Editor of “Anti-Corruption Warning Record”, the Administrative Chairman of Home and Abroad News Press, Mr. Xu Zhiqiang has attracted worldwide attention through his observation of the “National Integrity System”. He has a unique perspective on fighting against corruption. In the meeting, Mr. Xu Zhiqiang elaborated that the global strong response to Chinese anti-corruption is very positive; at the same time, the anti-corruption actions are pushing up China's international status. China is currently the world's second largest economy; such a strong anti-corruption battle will definitely trigger the world's unconventional attention to China.
   The Premiere of “Anti-Corruption Warning Record”, published by China YanShi Press, was also held in Macau. The book “Anti-Corruption Warning Record” has a total of 1.2 million words in two volumes, and it includes more than 250 real anti-corruption cases in the recent years. It revealed many corrupt officials and their unmoral actions through objective, truthful, accurate reflections to criticize “money trading”, “power trading”, “money for benefit trade”, “power and sex trade”, “money and sex trade” and other unmoral cases. It has profound significance to prevent crime and corruption and educate future generations avoiding those evil behaviors.
   The Editor of “Anti-Corruption Warning Record”, the Deputy Director of the Publication Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Propaganda Department Mr. Zhang Fan said that the planning and material selection of “Anti-Corruption Warning Record” took over three years. During this period, many officers and editorial staffs contributed great efforts into this work. He sincerely thanked the Macau readers’ concerning and support. He hoped this book will achieve the desired results.
   The preface of “Anti-Corruption Warning Record” was Mrs. Zhang Quanjing, the Former Minister of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. The Deputy Secretary of the Central Discipline Inspection Commission Liu Liying, Liu Feng and other people provided direct guidance and support to this remarkable work.
   During the forum, Phoenix TV reporters individually interviewed the Deputy Director of the Publication Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Propaganda Department Mr. Zhang Fan, the President of the 68th UN General Assembly Mr. John William Ashe, the President of Home and Abroad News Press Mrs. Wei Yan, the Editorial Director of “International Anti-Corruption Observation”, the Chief Editor of “Anti-Corruption Warning Record”, the Administrative Chairman of Home and Abroad News Press, Mr. Xu Zhiqiang and other key guests.
   At the meeting, the President of the 68th UN General Assembly Mr. John William Ashe presented appointment letters and licenses to the first group of International Anti-Corruption Observers.
